Even cpu.userbenchmark has the intels as far superior for the desktop PC benchmark which looks at what's best for Surfing, email, office apps, music/video playback.Ĭan someone help make things a little more clearer for a noob looking to build his first office PC. Am I not reading the results right, as everyone on the internet including reviewers seem to suggest the 8400 & 8100 are superior in most aspects, especially the ones I am looking for in a CPU. Looking at the PCMark 10 results, the Ryzens absolutely clean shop in the specified tests, especially the R5 1600x & R3 1300x, even more so than the i5 8400 and i3 1800 is not even in contention. This test group includes the Spreadsheets and Writing workloads The Productivity test group measures system performance with everyday office applications. The workloads include Web Browsing, Video Conferencing, and App Start-up time. The Essentials group covers the common, everyday ways that people use a PC.
